Materials sourcing and manufacturing
Where the wood, heater, glass, and hardware come from, and how each unit is pre-assembled and inspected before flat-packing.
This article covers where the components in your sauna come from and how they're made.
- Wood
- FSC-certified Nordic Spruce sourced from Norway, or FSC-certified Canadian Red Cedar sourced from Canada. The FSC certification means the wood comes from forests managed for long-term sustainability.
- Heater
- Harvia "The Wall" series, designed and built in Finland. Harvia has been making sauna heaters since 1950 and is one of the most recognized heater brands in traditional sauna culture.
- Stones
- Harvia sauna stones included with every heater, sourced and packed in Finland.
- Glass
- 8 mm tempered safety glass, factory-tinted.
- Hardware
- 316 marine-grade stainless steel.
- Manufacturing
- Bettr saunas are produced in our manufacturing partner's facility. Final assembly, test-fitting, and quality inspection happen at the factory before each unit is packed for shipment.
- Quality inspection
- Every unit is pre-assembled and test-fit at the factory before flat-packing for shipment. This catches dimensional issues, hardware problems, and finish defects before the product leaves the facility.
