About this warranty

Salus Ventures LLC ("we," "us," "Bettr") provides the limited warranty described on this page to the original retail purchaser of a new Bettr Sauna delivered to a residential address in any country where Bettr ships — see our Shipping Policy for the country list. This warranty is non-transferable and does not extend to subsequent owners.

Coverage runs from the date your sauna is delivered to your address. Two periods apply, and they run concurrently. Both are flat — there is no extended-warranty add-on, no enrollment fee, and no paperwork required to activate. Your order confirmation email is your registration.

What's covered — Harvia heater and control unit (2 years)

The Harvia heater (including heating elements and stones tray) and the Harvia control unit installed in your Bettr Sauna are covered by Harvia's standard manufacturer warranty for two (2) years from delivery. We administer this warranty on your behalf — you do not need to contact Harvia directly. We arrange repair or replacement, at Harvia's option as the manufacturer, for failures during this period that are caused by defects in materials or manufacture.

Specifically covered:

  • Heating element failure
  • Control-unit electronic fault, including thermostat drift outside Harvia's stated tolerance
  • Control-unit display failure
  • Wiring harness failure within the heater enclosure

This two-year period reflects the actual scope of Harvia's manufacturer commitment and is not extended or shortened by Bettr.

What's covered — Cabin and benches (3 years)

The cabin assembly (walls, roof, door, frame) and the bench assemblies are warranted by Bettr for three (3) years from delivery against defects in materials or workmanship that affect the structural integrity or intended function of the cabin under residential use.

Specifically covered:

  • Cabin panel structural failure (splitting, separation, frame failure)
  • Bench assembly structural failure
  • Door hinge structural failure
  • Glass panel separation from frame caused by defective adhesive or fastener
  • Structural fastener failure shipped with the unit

What's not covered

Wood is a natural product. This warranty does not cover characteristics inherent to natural materials. Timber expands, contracts, develops grain expression, knots, checks (small surface cracks along the grain), color variation between panels, and a patina that deepens over time. Japanese Cedar in particular develops a rich color shift across the first one to two seasons. None of this is a defect, and none of it affects the structural integrity, safety, or performance of your sauna.

Normal wear, weathering, and patina
Color shift, grain expression, knots, surface checking, minor variation between panels, and the natural aging of timber.
Improper installation
Damage from failure to follow the included installation instructions — incorrect foundation, drainage, ventilation, or assembly sequence.
Electrical issues
Damage from electrical supply that does not meet the heater's spec sheet, missing dedicated breaker, or wiring not installed by a licensed electrician.
Weather and placement
Damage from placing an indoor-rated unit outdoors, or vice versa, or exposure beyond the unit's rated environment.
Modifications
Damage from modifications, repairs, or part substitutions performed by anyone other than Bettr or a Bettr-authorized technician.
Accident and acts of God
Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, fire, flood, hail, lightning, or similar events.
Cosmetic-only
Small surface marks and minor finish variation that do not affect function.
Consumables
Heater stones (replaceable; available for purchase), aroma scoops, and similar accessories.
Labor and third-party services
Costs of installation, assembly, disassembly, electrician, contractor, crane, rigging, permits, service-call, travel, lodging, or any other third-party service. Freight or shipping costs to return a unit or component to Bettr for inspection are also excluded.
Commercial use
Use in a commercial, hospitality, or rental setting unless commercial pricing was paid at the time of purchase. This warranty applies to residential use only.

You can file a claim at any point during the applicable warranty period. There is no separate filing window inside the period.

Remedies — at our option

For claims we accept under this warranty, the available remedies are:

  • Cabin and bench components (3-year Bettr structural warranty): we ship a replacement part or full replacement component to your delivery address at no charge to you.
  • Harvia heater and control unit (2-year Harvia manufacturer warranty): service is administered by Harvia at Harvia's discretion under their standard manufacturer warranty terms. We coordinate the claim on your behalf.

Customer is responsible for arranging any local repair work. We do not dispatch field technicians, and we do not cover or reimburse third-party repair invoices.

We do not pay for: professional electrician labor at the install site, repairs (third-party or DIY), freight or shipping to return a unit or component to us for inspection, or any costs of removing or reinstalling the unit. Those are your responsibility. If our chosen remedy involves a replacement part or component, we ship using a standard ground or freight method to your delivery address — we do not expedite shipping at our cost.

Implied warranties (United States)

For purchases delivered within the United States, any implied warranties — including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose — are limited in duration to the term of the applicable express warranty above (2 years for the Harvia heater and control unit; 3 years for the cabin and benches), to the extent permitted by the law of your state. Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, in which case the above limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Australian Consumer Law — your statutory rights

For Australian customers: nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. The benefits we provide to you in this warranty are in addition to, and do not in any way limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

The following statement is included as required by the Australian Consumer Law:

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

If you believe your sauna does not comply with the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, contact us at support@bettrsauna.co. We respond within the same windows described above and apply the remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law where applicable. For additional information about your rights, you may also contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at accc.gov.au or your relevant state or territory consumer protection agency.

Canadian consumer rights

For Canadian customers: this warranty does not exclude, restrict, or modify any non-excludable rights or remedies you may have under applicable provincial or federal consumer protection law, including the Sale of Goods Act and provincial consumer protection statutes. The benefits we provide in this warranty are in addition to those rights, not a substitute for them.

Governing law

This warranty is governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Statutory consumer rights described above remain in force regardless of the choice of law. For the full dispute-resolution path, see our Terms of Service.
