Roof construction
Reinforced asphalt shingles over structural panels — standard residential weatherproofing, with snow load and inspection guidance.
The Ritual roof is built from structural panels covered with reinforced asphalt shingles.
- Shingle layer
- Asphalt shingles provide weatherproofing against rain, snow, and UV exposure. The asphalt material is the same standard used on residential roofing.
- Reinforcement
- The shingle layer is backed by structural panels that distribute load and resist sagging.
- Snow load
- Light snow (less than 12 inches / 30 cm) is fine. Heavy snow accumulation should be cleared from the roof before sauna operation to prevent excessive load on the structure.
- Inspection
- Visually inspect roof shingles annually for any lifted edges, damage, or wear. Spot replacements are available through Bettr support.
