Roof construction

Reinforced asphalt shingles over structural panels — standard residential weatherproofing, with snow load and inspection guidance.

The Ritual roof is built from structural panels covered with reinforced asphalt shingles.

Shingle layer
Asphalt shingles provide weatherproofing against rain, snow, and UV exposure. The asphalt material is the same standard used on residential roofing.
Reinforcement
The shingle layer is backed by structural panels that distribute load and resist sagging.
Snow load
Light snow (less than 12 inches / 30 cm) is fine. Heavy snow accumulation should be cleared from the roof before sauna operation to prevent excessive load on the structure.
Inspection
Visually inspect roof shingles annually for any lifted edges, damage, or wear. Spot replacements are available through Bettr support.
