Bettr saunas ship as flat-packed components on a freight pallet. Standard delivery is curbside, which has a specific meaning in freight shipping.
What curbside delivery means
- The freight carrier delivers the pallet to the curb, your driveway, or the closest accessible point on your property that the truck can reach
- The driver lowers the pallet to ground level using the truck's lift gate
- The driver does not move the pallet onto your property, into your backyard, or to your installation site
- Once the pallet is on the ground at curbside, the delivery is considered complete
What you need on delivery day
- Two to three able-bodied adults to move the pallet from curbside to your installation site or staging area
- A flat dolly, hand truck, or pallet jack if your route from the curb to the installation site has slope, gravel, soft ground, or distance
- A clear path from the curbside delivery point to the installation site or staging area
- Phone access to call our team if anything looks wrong on arrival
Preparation before the delivery date
- Confirm the delivery window with the freight carrier (typically a 4-hour window)
- Clear the path from your driveway or curb to your installation or staging area
- If you need help moving the pallet, line up that help in advance for the delivery window
- Have your tools ready in case you want to start unpacking immediately
